Philosophy is the pursuit of wisdom through the critical investigation of the nature, causes, or foundations of reality, knowledge, or values, rather than relying purely on empirical investigation. The aim of the program of the course «Philosophy» is to give students a complete understanding of the peculiarity of philosophical knowledge, the specifics of solving philosophical problems. The basic idea of the course is to reveal the creative role of philosophy in contemporary culture and to substantiate the need of philosophical knowledge for students.
